We all had a fabulous time in Dorset; the B&B was perfect and very welcoming at the end of a day's riding. Rempstone stables was excellent their horses were very steady and were perfectly chosen from each riders needs and ability, we were pleasantly surprised to also be give some help and tuition once out on the hacks.
I would definitely recommend the holiday to anybody and can't wait to go back.
Just wanted to drop you a quick line to let you know how much I enjoyed my weekend away riding at Rempstone Stables.
The accommodation at Norden House was very nice indeed and I found everyone at Rempstone to be really nice people and very friendly. I was also very pleased to see that all the horses were well looked after and Peter and his team ran the yard to a very high standard. I would recommend this break to any of my riding friends and have in fact already done so!!
Once again thank you all very much it was just the break I needed after the difficult time I have recently had.
I really enjoyed our weekend. The B&B was delightful, the rooms immaculate with modern facilities. Staying on a working farm added to the atmosphere and the stunning views of ponies, sheep, lamas and deer grazing, with Corfe castle in the background was definitely a bonus.
The yard staff were friendly and welcoming, and the welfare of the horses was their top priority. They matched us all to suitable steeds (I had Freckles' twin brother in character!) and our safety and enjoyment was ensured at all times. The terrain we rode across was varied, with sea-views, forest rides, healthland and country lanes, ensuring we never felt we'd ridden there before.
There was also lots of wild-life spotting opportunities from horse-back. We saw deer, foxes, birds of prey, pheasants, peacocks and a badger and there were dolphins seen off the coast while we were down on the beach. There was plenty to do whilst out of the saddle too - some stunning coastal walks, idylic villages, lots of traditional country pubs and of course Zorbing. There was so much we'd have liked to have seen and done in the area, such as a visit to Monkey World, various watersports, rock climbing, visiting the Purbeck Arts Fair - it's definitely a place for non-riders too!
I'd recommend Rempstone to friends and family, and I hope it's not too long till we're back!
Thanks Anne for arranging a lovely weekend,
Just a brief note, Anne, to say that we all had a wonderful week-end despite the awful weather. It was quite literally "p**g down" on Saturday morning and we all got soaked through - puddles in the bottom of our boots etc!! It was great fun though - the horses lovely, Peter was a lot of fun and the guest house perfect. The scenery was stunning when you could see it and Saturday pm and Sunday am was fine. We did lots and lots of canter which was exhilarating as well.
We did not want to come home!!
