A chance to explore the amazing variety of scenery in this largely unknown part of the Western Algarve. The ride is limited to 4 riders minimum, 6 riders maximum. All riding is in the carefully protected National Park of Costa Vincentina: a wonderfully natural and unspoiled park brimming with wild life.
Arrive at QPA, settle in and introduce yourself to the horses. Enjoy an evening meal at a local restaurant.
Leave QPA after getting acquainted with your horse. Head off westwards, stopping for a picnic on the top of "Espinho de Cão" with amazing views of endless hills. Continue down through the ‘medronho’ woods of the National Park to Herdade de Beiçudo, the beautiful farm inland from Carrapateira where the horses will spend the night. Accommodation in the village of Carrapateira and dinner at the renowned restaurant “Sitio do Rio”. 4/5 hours riding.
After breakfast of fresh rolls and coffee in the village square, tack up and continue westwards through the sand dunes and flat lands to the village of Vila do Bispo, where the horse will be tied up in the market square while riders enjoy lunch in a local café. On the return trip to Beiçudo you will drop down to Castelejo for a canter on the beach and a drink at the beach bar. Accommodation as first night and dinner at restaurant of choice. 4 hours riding
Another quick breakfast before heading off northbound up the coast through the pinewoods and hills, valleys and rivers to Vale da Telha Riding Centre, where the horses will spend the night. Accommodation in the historic town of Aljezur and dinner at a local restaurant. 4 hours riding
The final riding day will be heading home to QPA, Bensafrim, after collecting the horses in the morning. This final part of the ride is again through stunning countryside. 3 hours riding
After breakfast pack your bags, say goodbye to horses and staff and head for the airport.
