Relaxing at Epona

ACCOMMODATION

You will stay in simple, farmhouse accommodation within the traditional hacienda and its courtyards. All rooms have an ensuite shower room and w.c. You'll also find tea and coffee making facilities and bottled water in every room, as well as a hairdryer, boot jack and direct dial telephone.

All rooms have air conditioning to keep you cool on hot nights and warm on the odd cool night in winter.

FOOD

Breakfast, lunch and dinner is taken in the cafeteria overlooking the rose garden. Breakfast tends to be a continental affair with crusty rolls, preserves, cold meats, cheese or breakfast cereals, with orange juice, tea or coffee. Lunch and dinner are usually three-course, traditional Andalucian meals, served with local house wine.

As long as you tell us at the time of booking, Epona can cope with most special dietary requirements.

THINGS TO DO

As well as sightseeing in Carmona and Seville, trips to fabulous museums and galleries, walks in the local countryside or a swim in the Epona pool (from March to October) we can also arrange a host of other activities to keep you and any non-riding guest entertained.

Flamenco Dance Lessons

If you are a fan of true Flamenco dance, your visit to Epona is also a wonderful chance to try your hand under the instruction of Karin, one of Epona's B.H.S. qualified riding instructors, who is also a talented flamenco dancer, trained at the Flamenco Dancing Academy in Seville.

Three 1 hour group sessions Monday - Tuesday - Wednesday at a preset time. Cost: €135 per course. Maximum number of participants: 4. Lessons can also be arranged with a professional Flamenco dancer. Price available on request.

Massage

A professional masseur will help relieve the stresses of a hard day's riding. Must be booked in advance.

Tennis

If you would like to play tennis there is a small club in Carmona. Epona can make reservations and arrange transport.

Mountain Bike

The centre can organise the hire of a modern Mountain Bike. You can ride for hours and hours out in the country without riding over a single square inch of asphalt, or opening a single gate. Price available on request.

Land Rover Tours of the Doñana Natural Park

If you are bringing a non rider and you have a hire car, they now have the chance to follow you to Matalascañas when you go on the beach ride and be taken on a 2 hour tour of the Doñana Natural Park themselves in a 4x4 Land Rover. If they don't have a hire car, non riders may join the riders on the Epona transport (if places are available) at a cost of €30 per person, or we can arrange for a local driver to take them. Prices available on request.

Golf

Around Seville there are 5 clubs where you can play golf all year round. The centre can make reservations and arrange transport. If you have your own car, we will also provide directions.
