GOING AWAY ALONE?

One of the most common calls we receive are from single riders concerened about going away alone. If you have friends and partners who don't ride, going away on your own can seem a daunting option. But because there are many riders in the same position, going away alone is a common feature of many of our holidays.

We find that with horses as a common interest, most people make friends very quickly and have a very enjoyable holiday. The joy of riding together produces strong bonds and enduring friendhips. In fact, it's not unusual for riders who make new friends, often from different parts of the world, to keep in touch and return to the same centre at the same time, or go on different riding holidays together in subsequent years.

Depending on how gregarious you are, you have the choice of larger centres like Epona, in Spain, where you are likely to be part of a group of up to 8 or 10 riders, or smaller centres like Pinetrees, in Portugal, where you will live as part of the family, with only one or two other guests.

If you have any questions about going away alone, just call me.
